The link isn't working, so I'm curious as to what similarity they share. Were they both played on some Detroit rock station in the 70s?

Anyway, I love the 70s to early-80s Rush. A nice balance between the prog-heavy structures, and more straight ahead catchy, powerhouse riffs. (If you can accept Geddy's vocals, cause I know that is a big barrier to enjoying them)

I'm not familiar with Supertramp outside of Breakfast in America.

As for Rush, I have mixed feelings about them, but when they are on, they are on. Their 90's releases are very ordinary though, and Geddy's vocals can be grating on their first 3-4 albums.

Chinese: Do you include Signals in the early 80's bunch of great albums? It has an excellent production and some cool songs.

It's amazing to think Rush were as big as they were in North America. I don't recall them ever being that big in Australia. Limelight was barely ever played on the radio here in the 80's.

I feel Signals isn't as strong as the previous albums, and some of the synths are a bit dated, but yeah, I would include it among their purple patch. I know it probably doesn't have much for the metal heads, so I wouldn't expect it to be as popular around these parts, but it has all the panache and adventurousness of any of their more acclaimed work.
