^It's amazing that Steve thinks an like Remission is 2 fists, presumably because the songs aren't as catchy or melodic as their later material, but thinks a tuneless piece of junk like 'Iowa' is 5 fists.

boggles the mind :D

^^how is remission boring? I just don't get that. There are so many interesting ideas on that record, particularly rhythmic ones.

Ol Nessie > Slipknot's entire career.

Got a headache, so I can't be assed to justify. However, I will add that Scott Kelly's appearance on any given Mastodon track makes infinitely better. FACT!

The song writing was at it's pinnacle on Blood Mountain. It really showcased all their abilities when it came to structures, melodies, and aggression. It's my "goto" album from this band for sure. I like all their music though, they don't have a bad album as far as I'm concerned.

New track:

Very straightforward and even more 'commercial' than the last album. Not sure what to think - it's fine in its own right (which is all that matters, really) but completely different to how they started out.

New track sounds quite good, leviathan is their best for me and march of the fire ants pisses all over anything Slipknot have or ever will record.

We need more metal bands who take acid and less metal bands who take cocaine.

I quite like the song, but wow is it different from Leviathan. Think of how much people used to talk about Brann Dailor's drumming style then listen to that new track.
