Metallica and Slayer may have similar roots and come from the same "scene" but they both occupy their own space in metal, and are both as important.

Metallica 83 - 88 = Slayer 83 - 90 as far as I'm concerned. Anything else is personal taste.

Thats like asking Black Sabbath vs. Iron Maiden. (English version). They both have released 2 of my favorite metal albums each: RTL & MOP ; SOH & SITA. KEA & RIB come next. Its like leaning on a bear!

Metallica is like caviar; No matter what you think of it, you can't escape the knowledge that it's the most valuable item on the platter.

That "table"...

Kill 'em All > Show No Mercy
Ride The Lightning > Hell Awaits
Master Of Puppets > Reign In Blood
...And Justice For All > South Of Heaven
Metallica > Seasons In The Abyss

Metallica's covers albums > Slayer's covers album
Slayer's irrelevant albums > Metallica's irrelevant albums

Only Scrum and the obligatory Steppenwolf cover come close to that.

This metaphor is rather complicated. Can you explain it to me please?

Uh-oh
