But Mister Crowley > all of those!

As an aside, I never really liked Ozzy's solo career that much. I like Randy's guitar playing, and Jake E Lee on Bark at the Moon, I just think it would all be better if Ozzy could actually sing...

'Course it is.

I'm with you, Mali, I find his solo work much more miss than hit. Some great tracks aside, I couldn't be arsed with it. Certainly nothing worth buying.

I bought the first three, but I never listen to them. How he's managed to sustain a succesful career out of the music he's made I don't really understand. Still I suppose Metallica did it...

I assume it's the American market that's kept him going, he was always bigger over there, I think. Statters might have facts & figures to back that up/disprove it, I dunno...

Ozzy's band were always more American I guess. I do wonder if the consistent turnover of guitarists helped at all in continuing the interest, or at the very least gave them an angle to stir up some interest?

Blizzard Of Oz - mostly for the double whammo of Mr Crowley and Suicide Solution.

But Heaven Hell has better artwork.

"Heaven & Hell" for mine but it's very close. They're both great records.

I've been revisiting "Blizzard Of Ozz" over the past couple of days & I think I'm gonna have to change my vote here. It's still very close but "Blizzard Of Ozz" gets it by a very short man with a very big guitar sound.

not on this occasion...his option here is a stain on a otherwise fine record...

"Goodbye To Romance" is comfortably the weakest track on either record but it's not enough to counteract that fact that the highlights on "Blizzard Of Ozz" reach slightly greater heights for me than those on "Heaven & Hell". Randy really does give "Blizzard Of Ozz" an edge too as his performance was simply breath-taking. "Goodbye To Romance" reminds me a lot of that God-awful KISS song "God Gave Rock n' Roll To You" from the "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" soundtrack & not in a good way.
