I liked their quirky covers. Until "Anarchy in the UK" that is. :(

That is the only Megadeth cover I like! I'm going with STD, Megadeth albums are patchy affairs, the title track is the highlight.

My Last Words (my favourite track on this album)

^ This x 1000. My Last Words is easily the best song on the record - not to say that the title track and the other songs aren't great, but I've always felt that KIMB just has this edge and manic intensity that Peace Sells lacks. With the exception of the track quoted above, which sounds like Mustaine found a forgotten speedball down the back of the mixing desk before he recorded it.

I own both albums but really can't be arsed with either these days.

Probably the toughest poll question so far for me, as both albums meant a lot to me 'back in the day'. Neither band's best, obviously but pretty close. I'll have to go for Peace Sells... as I had it first and played it a lot more. The cover's fucking shit, of course but the rest is just good, fun metal. STD also has a couple of filler tracks and isn't quite up to the standard of Among The Living or Persistence Of Time (their best), so it's got to be Peace Sells... all the way for me.

A close call, but Peace Sells for me.

What??!! Sometimes I think Sol just says things without meaning it to get us riled up.

I think he meant the song cover, not the cover art. At least I hope so.

Ah, right, that would make more sense. I certainly hope that's the case.

Indeed. The cover art is pretty cool, and has adorned at least two T-shirts of mine over the years.

Love 'em both, at the end I gave it to Peace Sells because it has my favorite Megadeth song: Wake Up Dead.

Hating the cover art=hating metal artwork.

That cover is a bonafide classic.
