I think the poll we did a while ago showed about 50% of posters read it regularly only

I read it, and its only recently that I have become annoyed, so I'm entitled to have a whinge I think. I'm going to have one anyway, because that's the kind of prick I am. The current format is wrong, it feels like its for kiddies, I don't need to know about "5 other smackheads" or whatever these sidebar list things are about, I'm a 33 year old music fan, I'd rather the space was used for something else. Ditch the goofy Wizards sack and "'occult comedian" bullshit, the whiny mommy issues cover stories, its like reading Metal Hammer. Its unnecessary. Dominion is also unnecessary, how is that stuff any more worthy of its own little magazine than other types of metal or extreme music? If you had it every so often and had a pull out section on other sub genres and scenes for other issues it would be fine. Occasionally it would be nice to read a more in depth review with a greater word count, written by someone who has actually listened to the album, and reviews it purely on musical content.

Mark albums with the five fist system. ;)

Also, I still haven't gotten my Fast Eddie Clarke interview. :D

Those Slayer posters were cool though. A nice pull out section with old pictures every so often would be good actually.

After stopping subscribing, I retook a sub out after the offer of 4 more issues and the new Blood Ceremony. I'm a cheap whore like that. Saying that magazines here are ridiculously expensive so it is more a nice to read than something essential.

However under its current form it actually focusses far more on metal rather than the outlier genres that Terry's era covered. I suppose my main complaint is how it comes across as forced "hip-ness" i.e. Terrorizer discovered this band first, or this is the new band you must listen to. Don't try and force the issue, don't tell people what to listen to and please stop trying to promote the next big thing. Let metal be what it is, whether that is unfashionable euro pomp metal, a band hitting their third decade churning out the same thrash/DM or whether it is some obscure band about to put their debut out on profound lore. Let a love for music guide not a concern to champion a cause.

EDIT: that sounds hopelessly naive and ignores the fact Tez is a magazine and therefore constrained by commerce, oh well.

Change the little red bars on album reviews to something appropriate like gravestones, skulls, bullets, upside-down crosses, that kind of thing.

In Dominion they're spiders. That suit you?

Sick of reading how depressed and ready to die Joey J and Tom G Warrior are as well as how big a twat Niklas Kvarforth has been of late. For fucks sake I aint the happiest person in the world but I at least want some release from reading Tez!

The album rating system is shit and would be far more in place at MH or Rock Sound. Personally I don't see the point of having posters as I ain't 14.

Terrorizer can help me by one of you lot helping me find the video of the shaven headed guy and the backwards video where he ends of furry. I want to show it to my friend but it doesn't seem to be in random thread.

Do that NWOBHM Veterans Scene Report I pitched ages ago and haven't heard a dicky bird since. Doesn't matter who does it, just get a page each on ANGEL WITCH, HELL, PAGAN ALTAR, TANK, ELIXIR, JAMESON RAID and CLOVEN HOOF.

Make the magazine reflect the forum.

We want a hot bitches page, Mali to write a pull out section of erotic pornography featuring members of Immortal and Luna Coil, posters of Was in corpse paint, interviews with Chantler about NWOBHM bands, some shitty deathcore to keep Tom happy, slag off Megadeth at every opportunity, have readers' polls regarding Judas Priest, and a massive article on Brighton doom bands, mainly featuring an interview with Sabazius.

Metal Hammer wouldn't know what hit it!

'Exclusive this month only to Tez, what will Emperor be having for dinner, and what are Last Days of Humanity's views on slippers?'

Longer/more comprehensive reviews.

Longer/more comprehensive interviews.

Of course metal is the bread and butter, I'm not saying drop the metal, but take it back to when it was metal + other stuff. I miss the days when Chantler could give Chris Morris' 'Blue Jam' 9/10 on the same page as 'Chocolate Starfish' got completely slated (but slated in a serious way, not just saying "huhhh, obviously it's shit, it's nu metal innit, huhhhh") or Avi could riff for two or three pages on why Matt Bower from Skullflower is closer to a yogi than a musician, etc.

Employing people from this very forum is a good idea, I'm totally serious, fandom of almost every sort of music is represented on here.

A section on theological issues would be good. Maybe have a Page 3 girl too?

Fuck yeah. It's incredibly important to recognise and/or pay tribute to those bands/artists that have inspired and/or originated those styles of extreme music (you'll notice I haven't specified 'metal') that we all love and you are (supposedly) commited to promoting in print. While we all understand that you're a commercial entity, and, as a result, must print articles AND ADVERTS of interest to a wider readership than we would like, the fact* that the magazine has, of late, been veering closer and closer to Metal Hammer territory than ever before is naturally going to be a turn-off for most of us. We've outgrown the kiddie-oriented style of journalism that's been spouted in the magazine in recent months - that's why we read Terrorizer, we went for a more mature and expansive range of coverage and discussion of various 'extreme' genres - but the magazine as it is has become the very beast we had left behind. It's self evident at this stage - go through some back issues from the golden, Nick Terry or subsequent eras. The difference in quality in the interviews and/or review is so obvious that it speaks volumes when put against the current output.

*and it is a fact...

Don't cover bands who play death metal, thrash, hardcore, or wear leather.
