Issue 233 - Spot the Terorizer Forumite!
I was flipping the pages of the new issue and was like, "Hey, I recognize that guy!"
Also, I'm stoked to hear the Rising Dream song on the Beast in the East CD!

Er... would it be the guy who's been talking about his band being interviewed in Terrorizer for the last two weeks, by any chance?

Congrat to Sabazius + Old Corpse Road in ZT too.
Unrelated to them but in this issue of Tez - I was quite put out to see "A band in DC" written in the Clutch sidebar album review. That is definitely not a typo - that is obviously someone who doesn't knowthe farking Bad Brains working at a music magazine!

I'm considering a subs to ZT mag for 3 issues - the last two I have read were pretty good. Seems to have more longevity than Tez and have less of the emphasis on glossy/arty photos.

I like it, lots of good writers and deep coverage - but their album scoring system is utterly ludicrous! One of the worst I've yet seen.

Agreed -s'got half marks innit? False.
I like the fanzine feel to it and the balance of the coverage of the well known with the newcomers. Lives section could do with beefing up tho.

Ta for the congrats comments though. Another tick in the box of things I wanted to achieve as a kid.
OCR are getting some well deserved attention at the minute, so that's pretty cool.
My mum got a funny look in WH Smiths buying Tez.

She was on the cover of Razzle, so it was more sense. She can't really pretend she's in Darkthrone at her age.
Edit: I read your comment wrong. I bought my own Razzle mags, but that's not as funny.

This is practically Dez Fafara territory. My favourite death metal band is Morbid Angle! My favourite Paradise Lost album is 'Shades Of Gold'!!

Funnily enough in Metal Hammer this month they have a sidebar on the Clutch interview with DC bands like Bad Brains and Scream. Someone out there is listening Robit.

Can someone upload a decent sized scan of the Sabazius interview?

Re: Issue 233 - Spot the Terorizer Forumite!
Question for Cromwell: Did you guys really record that 11 hour song in one sitting? What did you do when you got hungry or had to take a piss?

They actually played for 14 hours, but the producer ditched three hours of feedback to keep it trim.

I wasn't there, but Crom mentioned setting up drum solos for a piss break.

Re: Issue 233 - Spot the Terorizer Forumite!
As Richie says, it was 14 hours straight in total. There are sections where only two of us were playing, and that's when one of us would leave the room to have a sit down, rest the ears, have a piss, and so on.
The section at around 8 hours when it's just bass and drums is when Nev had his dinner.
Most of the bit that got cut was just after the 12 hour mark I think, as we were just burnt out by then. We had one last good section at around the 12.5 hour mark which is the ending of the song, and then it was just really unlistenable as we discussed what we wanted to do and decided we'd finished.
