an hour and a bit south of where i live there have been grass fires made worse by winds so strong they've been blowing semis over into the ditches

further to this i saw on the news that this grass fire set homes and trailers on fire, horses died as they could not escape the barn they were in and a trailer full of rescued cats went up as well

absolutely horrible

That is horrible. Who would rescue a cat!?

No snow here but I do have a lump of ice growing on my window ledge that is currently the size of a cricket ball. It's been there all week.

Snow in Manchester at present - not thick enough to cover up the locals unfortunately.

Just been out for a walk in it, and it's getting pretty serious here. If it keeps this up all night, which is seems set to, we'll be a proper winter wonderland by tomorrow. Thanks for doing this on Saturday night when IT DOESN'T HELP GET ME A DAY OFF Universe, you cunt.

went home at 1am last night in Tottenham, 5 inches of snow. Was quite funny though, people were having snowball fights on the street and pretty much everyone was in a good mood.

Surprisingly large amount fell in central London in a few hours last night, I got the last tube home as I didn't want to be stuck there.

About 3-4 inches here in Leicestershire, but it's quite mild I should think it will start melting before long.

yeah, same here - and luckily I did, because my mates got stuck in London with no way out; there weren't any cabs going and all hotel rooms were booked :S
