Stick-man Diving is finally free on Android. I recommend that along with Line Runner and Stick-man Base Jump at the moment. Instagram is absolutely pointless.

There's a light saber one wich makes your phone make light saber noises noises as you swish it about, including the impact noises if you stop short your swing like your hitting another light saber. I played with that a lot when I first got it.

I heard about one for the iPhone, but I suppose it will have made the transition to Android too. I wonder if the Brian Blessed alarm clock ever made it across?

EDIT: No, it hasn't.

My Andriod is over a year old and it's one of the first apps I downloaded. I was just playing with it again now and it lights the flashlight when you do an "impact".

I schpunkened.

I DLed it, got a short way in lost patience and deleted, which I have done with 3 or 4 versions of angry birds. Diversion is the best free game for Android I've discovered.

Never saw the attraction of mobile games, personally. Each to their own, I guess.

I don't think you can get in on Android, or not last time I looked.

This thread's been a bit disappointing as far as suggestions go. I guess I was hoping for some killer app I hadn't thought of but I'm just not seeing it. Ho hum!

Trying to figure out how to get the majority of apps over to my SD card so as not to take up too much memory. There's an option to "move to SD card" for each but it's not highlighted.
I guess they must stay on the phone and that I have a limited number then?

Do you actually have an SD card in your phone? I know a lot of Samsung devices ship without them.

You mean the new Desire C? The original Desire certainly didn't have 4GB internal memory.

So it does. The Desire and the Desire HD definitely don't, though.

I've just renegotiated my contract: New handset and a better plan for less money. My HTC Desire One X+ should arrive tomorrow.

Unfortunately, since their website doesn't fucking work.

I am finding the HTC One X+ a markedly superior experience to the Samsung SIII. I don't like HTC Sense 4.0 as much as I liked Sense 3.0, so I'm experimenting with different launchers. I've succeeded in getting shot of the ugly fixed task bar, but now I need to find a decent clock as the bundled HTC one won't work with other launchers.

I've adopted the Apex launcher (notice the absence of the big ugly dock bar, and the non-stock icon to open the app drawer) for the time being, and I've downloaded the Ultimate Custom Widget app and used it to make my own clock, inspired by the Aliens logo:

UCCW isn't perfect (I have a list of suggest improvements I intend to email to the developer), but it'll do for the time being. I especially like the hotspots function - I've used it to make tapping the time open the HTC Clock, tapping the date open the Calendar, and tapping the weather summary open Weather.

I've found another decent app - AirDroid. Wirelessly manage your Android device from your PC through your browser. Quick, intuitive, reliable (so far) and with a few interesting bells and whistles thrown in (such as sending SMS texts from your phone using your PC). Good shit here.

I'd also like to re-recommend Google Sky Map - a handy entry-level astronomy app. I was using it just last night, as I wondered what the two unusually bright objects in the sky to the left of the moon were. One was Jupiter, and the the other one was Capella (no, not this one).

Note: Not recommended if you'd rather believe they're the returning ships of our ancient alien progenitors.
