Good. The GAA, the politicians and the media were willing to roll over peoples concerns because they all have the same money hungry, "one set of rules for us..." mentality as Brooks himself.

I cannot even put into words how much I fucking despise that cunt anyway. He is everything I hate in music, cynically motivated, sterile, formulaic, joyless, passionless, mediocre fucking shit. You can tell he started out in marketing on music row, the despicable fucking arsehole that he is.

Have you heard Nathan Carter? Makes Garth Brooks sound like authentic outlaw country. That style of shit flavoured country is huge here and Fermanagh and most of the lonely midland counties.

I'd never heard of him until I asked someone who that cunt the travellers play non stop on their stalls is. I have to say, he is among the top 5 biggest piles of shit ever. He makes Crystal Swing sound almost palatable in comparison. I genuinely hope he dies in a terrible accident.

Turns out he's a scouser. I thought he was from up the road but it turns out he has nordy parents so that explains it.

Cavan is coming to Garth Brook's rescue:

A gaelic football club in County Cavan has offered the big US country star an alternative venue in a patch of their home county.

"Come and play for Killinkere," they said, after plans for two of his Dublin concerts fell through.

The Cavan club is out to shower him with kindness.

"If it can't be Croke Park, why not Killinkere?" said the Killinkere's public relations officer Mark Farrelly who extended the invitation in an open letter on Twitter.

Our facilities have been upgraded no end in recent years and we have recently built a new stand and installed a toilet. There's ample parking as it will coincide with the second cut of silage and there'll be fields aplenty to abandon cars in”

"Killinkere is between Baillieboro and Virginia. It is a big rural area - he would have no problem with residents around here because there are none," said Mark.

The toilet beside the stand would also be convenient for Garth in between zip wiring onto the stage.

"People can see you going in there as it is right beside the stand, but it is good and private inside," he pointed out.

Sadly, he said, although Twitter has lit up with banter, the star himself has not come forward with a reply... maybe he's just mulling it over 'til tomorrow - if that ever comes.

I'm fucking sick of it now. Leading story on the fucking 6 o clock news 2 or 3 nights running, on the front of every newspaper whenever you walk into a shop. People are dying in Palestine, our pensioners are so broke they have to decide whether they can eat, have heat or get medication and that is all you can talk about on the news, as if it is some tsunami level disaster? And now fucking Enda Kenny is chiming in. Mind your fucking business Enda, and get back to thinking up your latest scheme to fleece the electorate.

I hope you all die in excruciating pain, you horrendous fucking cunts.

They're filming Star Wars scenes in Kerry, boy:

http://www.dailyedge.ie/star-wars-skell ... 6-Jul2014/

Portmagee's where my grandmother was from, I have family there and on Valencia. I've been out to Skellig Michael too, when I was a kid. There was a monastery there from the sixth to the twelfth century, their 'beehive' huts are still there and it's desolate as fuck. Hamill's shooting scenes there so I imagine it'll be the setting for Skywalker's exile, a la Yoda on Dagoba (this should probably have gone in the Star Wars thread, thinking about it).

How can they be filming Star Wars in Kerry, when Star Wars was last made in the early 80's?

It came out in 1977, so they must have gone into the future to do it.

There is a time machine on Skellig Michael, built by the druids. That's why the "monks" were there, to stop people from using it for evil. We sanctioned a trip back to find a Harrison Ford that wasn't so old and grumpy.

Actually, you would be more likely to go back and slap Lucas repeatedly about the face. And throw St Patrick into the sea.

I would repatriate St Patrick to Prydain and kill George Lucas immediately after Return of the Jedi.

I meant the trilogy, and you knew that.

Into The Void is closing down. Again. Means nothing to me as I could never be bothered with it (too expensive and troo for me), but some of you lot shopped there from time to time, I believe.
