Big day for cricket. I'd love us to beat the Aussies, but their performance against Pakistan was incredible.

We stuffed the Aussies and Barca won La Liga. A top sporting day.
Unless you're a Fenerbache fan...

On the final day, Fenerbahce were a point ahead of rivals Bursaspor but only drew at home. Apparently though, the stadium announcer said Bursaspor had also drawn so they all started celebrating, only to find out Bursaspor had actually won 2-1.

now that was a final and I actually feel confident about our ability to build on this, developing the side into a good one day squad. The Aussies were poor though and with a couple more bowlers they would have been better but Watson was poor.

It doesn't matter though, Germany will get to the latter stages of the World Cup because that's what Germany always does, not because of any one player.

Anyone else unreasonably excited for Charlton vs Swindon tonight?

I'm not excited by it but i would like Charlton to win just because aslong as Millwall win it should be a laugh at Wembley.

A laugh, or a Wembley destroying riot? Maybe both. Charlton probably will win, but I'm hoping for a Swindon-Millwall final as I've never been to either of their grounds. The Valley's alright, but I can happily never go to Huddersfield again.

The only chance of a Wembley destroying act would of been a Millwall/Leeds play off final.

I remember when I was quite young going to see Peterborough play Wrexham in the FA Cup and it all kicked off. Not cool.

I really wish that I could watch Vazquex-Marquez IV live on Saturday night. Why Sky didn't pick this up I'll never understand.

Bradley Wiggins took 12 minutes out of the race leader yesterday in the Giro ,and with the mountains to come a podium place is now a realistic goal again.

Blackpool promoted. Means we're going to get Ian Iscariot's gurning mug on Match of the Day every week next year. Although if they defend like they did today they'll be back down fairly quickly.
