Joining CAMRA is basically free £23 and you get £20 of Wetherspoons vouchers and free/discounted entry to loads of beer fests. http://www.camra.org.uk/benefits

 Re: Real Ale Appreciation Thread
I'm currently drinking a Sainsbury's Taste The Difference Traditional Kentish Ale. Shut up, it was on offer. It's OK. Slightly sort of floral taste with a slight bitterness too. I haven't drunk beer in a long while and it's still not really exciting me so it must not be that great.

The Westmorland and Yorkshire Bitter ales in the same range are much better. Had one of these last night: Like being smashed in the face with a grapefruit. 4 fists.

 Re: Real Ale Appreciation Thread
Proof that if God does exist he should stop fucking around brewing beer and get on with his day job. It's not awful but it's all a bit "meh!" Last night I also had It reminded me of a wheat beer in all honesty as opposed to a pale ale but it was reasonable enough but again didn't set my palate on fire.

 Re: Real Ale Appreciation Thread
Finally got round to The Trooper. Meh. Most bland, and uncharacteristic beer ever. I'm a little disappointed this has come from Robinsons.
Also went to the Hawkshead Brewery over the weekend, they've a beautiful Beer Hall. had a Brodies Prime and a Red, both of which I'd had before but are very nice, I only wish I'd noticed the Stout before it was too late and we had to go.
