A story a guy I work with has been keeping me chuckling all week. He said one time he was at Nottingham Train station and was approached by an Australian asking which was the train to "Loogah Baroogah".
Apparently he wanted Loughborough.

Loogah Baroogah is a better name, though.

Post Re: Cheery Thoughts Mark II
This The Kills Song is so extremely fuckin god save my sweetiest and the most beautiful song in the world, Especially video and acoustic version, which I am listening the whole day...

Here is the lyrics:

From sea to mountain valley
From flesh to palms a' swaying
Dreamers dreaming on
no matter what they're saying

I need you
Don't ask me why it is
I want strings - attached
unnatural as it feels

I'm loyal, oh oh, I'm loyal

From starry eyes colliding
From Mars to someone crying
I'm never far away
no matter what I'm hiding

I get lost
but I always come around
It's a strange fear
allows me to be found
I'm loyal, oh oh, I'm loyal,
I'm loyal, oh oh,
I got the heart of a dog

It's life or death why I chew through the chain
It don't matter my love's the same
Go so far but never long
Can't break the spell in my heart
I'm loyal, oh oh, I'm loyal
I'm loyal, oh oh,
I got the heart of a dog

From bars to beds of laying
From boots of lead to changing
I'm hooked from deep inside
Call when you're ready cos I'm ready to ride

I'm loyal, oh oh
I'm loyal, oh oh
I got the heart of a dog

And the official one ^

After this post thread should be block forever.

A story older than the hills, that one. Watch out for this guy you work with - next thing you know he'll be telling you how he gave a Muslim fella his wallet after it had fallen on the floor, only to be told by way of thanks to avoid <landmark> on <future date>. :)

Really? I have never heard it before. I shall keep an eye on the guy in question. He's quite new.

I'm a bit late to the party but congratulations man.

My cheery thought is that I have just booked myself a week in Brussels. I'm off to try as much Belgian beer as possible.
What a pain though, it seems that there's no such thing as a direct flight to Brussels anymore, they all have to go through Schipol. Once upon a time you could get a direct flight from Durham Tees Valley.

Post Re: Cheery Thoughts Mark II
Did my good deed for the day. Coming out of work today I was stopped by a young lass, about 8 or 9 years old I would guess, who had a problem and asked me to fix it. I couldn't really say no, although she told me that the last five people she had asked had all replied in the negative.
Don't know how she had done it but she had managed to pull her chain off and twist it round on its self several times. In the end I had to dismantle the rear derailleur and take the whole chain off then untwist it and re-assemble everything.
Always good to get a thank you when I had fixed it though.
