America and Israel carry out missile test in the Mediterranean. Why didn't they just test it on Syria? 2 birds 1 stone and all that.

And here's some shitty pics for the fun of it.

Yes and it was the Americans so they're going to bomb themselves, so you'd better duck and cover cos they are deadly accurate.

^^ That's all well and good but in Syria they've used CHEMICAL WARFARE which is much worse than starving people to death or chopping them to pieces or just shooting 'em.

Just like chopping up someone with a machete in Rwanda is worse than gunning them down with 30mm anti-vehicle rounds fired from an AH-64 Apache.

Apparently the Syrians have been using Thermobaric/Fuel Air Explosives against civilians for months now.

According to Human Rights Watch, this is effect of thermobaric weapons:

Quote:
The [blast] kill mechanism against living targets is unique–and unpleasant.... What kills is the pressure wave, and more importantly, the subsequent rarefaction [vacuum], which ruptures the lungs.... If the fuel deflagrates but does not detonate, victims will be severely burned and will probably also inhale the burning fuel. Since the most common FAE fuels, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide, are highly toxic, undetonated FAE should prove as lethal to personnel caught within the cloud as most chemical agents.

But as USA uses thermobaric weapons, this is fine. ;)

The one good thing about FAE/thermobarics is that their effects make great Death Metal lyrics.

But the Americans are the law and therefore above it, and if i remember right their troops cannot be taken in front of the International War Crimes Tribunal.

And you are correct thermobaric weapon use does look like a goldmine of lyrics for Death Metal and it's sub-genres.

Not until Friday methinks. And even then, it can't confirm who used it(smart money is on the Syrian government).

Anyhoo, Obama has the support he needs from two key figures in Congress. Assad is a getting a pounding, it would seem. Kiz Jess will be pleased.

That same Nobel Peace prize he won in anticipation of doing something towards world peace.

Mind you the Russians, French, British and high ranking Muslim players aren't clean either.

International politics makes cheap junkie street hookers look clean and respectable.

Interesting point.

Like Vietnam. America goes over there to "help them stop communism" and all they did was kill a bunch of Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese don't see them as the heroes that they see themselves. They call it "The American War".

I'm not saying there's any comparison, I just thought of this after watching Obama's speech last night.

I don't think I can recall a time when an American president has been so isolated.

He has virtually no support for this action in Europe and even the British poodle has been muzzled by it's own Parliament.

Only support is France where Hollande is being hammered by both pro-war and ani-war types.

Even Congress is not too sold on the intervention.

It's almost as if they have their own distinct idea of what happened that's different to the seppos.
