And to add to that Ashes to Ashes is growing on me with every episode...

The American's actually less horrible and useless than it could have been. New York in the 70's was obviously a fairly different place to Manchester at the same time, and I liked when they reflected that by focussing on things that wouldn't have worked in the British version. The original's obviously better, though, and Keitel is completely overshadowed by Phil Glennister, however uppity Sat_Rad wants to get about it.

I loved Season 1 of Ashes to Ashes, but the ending of Season 2 let me down a bit, and I've been mostly limping through the third one out of loyalty, like I said. Last night's really was brilliant, though, so my hopes are pretty high for the end.

I don't have the patience for those kinds of shows.

I'm not anti the American one...I just think it's not a patch on the UK version - the support cast is far inferior as well..

Toad had the grand idea of opening up Toad Hall to the public. He wanted Mole, Ratty and Badger to help, But Badger thought it was a preposterous idea and would have nothing to do with it. All was going well till stuff started going missing. It was those dam weasels. luckily Badger had decided to paint Toad Hall from the fringe of the Wild Wood and he was right by the exit of the secret tunnel that the weasels were using to sneak the stolen goods out. Badger soon put a stop to it. TOPPIN'.

I don't think it was screened in 1947.

Just watched episode 1 of new US show Happy Town.
Most intriguing.
Atmospheric and creepy but never going too dark. Sort of like Twin Peaks but with slightly less mental characters.

From the commercials it seemed like they were going for a Twin Peaks feel, I haven't given it a look yet.

Speaking of Twin Peaks, I finished it today. I knew how it ended already, but it was still enjoyable.

Ashes To Ashes: The British LOST

Gene is Jacob, Keats (and thank fuck for Keats, he's the best thing in there) is Flocke/Smoke monster. Ray is Sayid.

Chris is Vincent.

And it's ACE!

Latest Dr Who was pretty good. Average story but Amy looked rather lovely and some of the female vampires/space fish were just filth.

Finished Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Gleefully waiting the 6-episode prequel.

Shame about the fellow who plays Spartacus being diagnosed with some type of blood cancer though.

I knew nothing of those things. :o

On further investigation it seems he's got almost the same thing as Michael C Hall of Dexter.

Programme about Matisse on Sunday night, really I'm waiting for the Dali one, but this was really good. Not that impressed with the paintings although I could totally see the influence on modern design.

Derren Brown showing up that fucking prick for the charlatan that he is last night. Very enjoyable.
