The Blackout and Brutality Will Prevail are welsh and both are grand.

 Re: The TV Thread.
There's a hardline straight-edge band from Aber called xAledxJonesx.
Okay, I made that up, but there should be.

 Re: The TV Thread.
I wouldn't be surprised there's a nice trend among hardcore/grindcore/power violence of bands being named after celebrities/characters currently.

I rest my case, nobody likes those bands. I like the Manics Holy Bible album. The others are fucking gash though.

I rest my case, nobody likes those bands. We also gave the world Bullet for My Valentine. I'll get my coat. Taint and Ghast are great, Shaped by Fate are quite good, Anterior are good for what they are (modern ATG rip off type stuff0. I loved Dub War, people who don't are cunts. The Drowning are OK. Yes, Acrimony were Welsh. Pointing out the lack of Metal from Wales is racist. Mclusky and Future of the Left are from Wales and although not Metal are heavy as fuck.

 Re: The TV Thread.
I've only seen 4 episodes so far and so far I'm not impressed. I'll give it 6 before giving up on it.

Generation Terrorists, Gold Against The Soul and Holy Bible are all crackin. Everything Must Go I like, and the more straight pop stuff they did on Lifeblood is good, 'Solitude Sometimes Is' and 'Empty Souls' are beautiful. Watched a good program about orangutans with the lovely Michaela Strachan. Quite sad to see some of them, starving because their enviroment was destroyed for farming, orphaned baby ones etc. Still, it was nice to see some of them returning to the wild.

Ah. Can't abide Generation Terrorists, I've only got This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours apart from those I mentioned, and it's OK, nothing special. I've heard Send Away The Tigers and it did nothing for me, haven't heard anything else of theirs.

Their work in general since Everything Must Go has been well patchy, some very good songs but albums wise poor enough. I like Generation Terrorists, a handful of classics, some sloppy silly stuff but it has a naive charm about it. I remember arguing with someone that a short quiet part of one of the songs (I think it was 'Another Invented Disease') was clearly influenced by Rush and being laughed at, and it turned out years later that they are all massive Rush fans.

 Re: The TV Thread.
There're only 2 or 3 tracks on it I'd listen to, it's far too long to hold my attention with that quality. That one they d released recently with all Richey Edwards tracks is supposed to be decent...

Portly went missing today after being frighted by the Otter hunt. Thankfully Pan found him. Ratty and Mole brought him back to his Dad Otter. Scary time for a bit.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Charlie Brooker's good, David Mitchell can be good, Jimmy Carr... is only one of three people advertised. I was positive about it.
I was wrong.

Send Away the Tigers is far and away the worst thing they've done, I don't understand all the "The Manics Are Back!" bollocks that went with it. Lifeblood is infinitely better, it scared off the knuckle dragging, lager swilling element of their fanbase because it was midly electronic. If you like THB you may like Journal for Plague Lovers, it's vaguely in the same, stripped down, punky style buit nowhere near as bleak and frankly nowhere near as good, to put that comment in context, THB is one of my favourite albums.
