Finished Twin Peaks again last week. Currently re-watching Dexter.

Duckstyle wrote: Nobody here talking about The Walking Dead premier? That shit was awesome. They went SO far with the brutality and the soul crushing story lines. I don't know how they keep the intensity, but they've managed it for the most part thus far. I can't remember an episode of any TV program which was as violent.

Gorier than a lot of films tbf. If it was the '80s, it would have been banned.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Finished Twin Peaks a while back - the last few episodes redeemed itself but time and history will never forgive the bad dip in Season Two
Also finished Person of Interest final season, or half season to be more accurate. I love this show from season one so really had high hopes it would go out with a bang, sadly they simply could not resist leaving it open for a new series. Why the fuck announce this is the end when clearly you don't want it to be? Once again another failure to properly close a show, and once again the Shield remains the only TV show to end of the absolute fucking high that all shows aspire to but never reach.

Westworld is brilliant. The biggest fan theory which originated around Episode 3 is looking to be correct now.

 Re: The TV Thread.
It picked up with the last few episodes (I'm up to episode 7) but it's still a disappointment overall. Unless it ends on a hell of a bang, I doubt I'll bother with season 2.

 Re: The TV Thread.
It does seem to be splitting people right down the middle. Personally, I'm loving it. It might be a slow burner but the fun comes with finding all the little clues. The attention to detail (so far) is incredible. Nothing is left to chance and everything means something. Right down to character names and the music on the piano.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Did anyone else find Westworld disappointing? Finished it last night and found it a bit of a chore, with a fairly predictable ending. It had its moments, yes but overall it didn't live up to the hype.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Westworld was the second best TV show of the year for me (only just), even though I'd worked out out a couple of the twists along the way.
Waiting for a few weeks and then I'm going on a full re-watch to see what I missed along the way.

 Re: The TV Thread.
I'd copped a couple of the twists early on, and when a mate postulated another it clicked and reinforced the ones I was aware of. It's not that though, I just found it a bit... dull, really.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Loved Westworld. I was a bit confused with the SPOILER: various timelines but it all came together in the end. Unfortunately the big twist concerning Ed Harris was spoiled by people who need to let everyone know about fan theories, so they can brag that they "called it". Cunts.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Bought the boxset (€5 in a secondhand shop, huzzah!) a couple of years back. Best fiver I ever spent. It was nice to see it all, I'd only ever seen the odd episode, sporadically and out of order. The lower budget shows in the later episodes, but it's always enjoyable.

I've caught up with Series 4 of Vikings. After a bit of a shit start, it certainly picks up.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Just watched episode 2 (of season 4) the other night, I'd forgotten about it TBH.
Has anyone watched Peaky Blinders? Watched the first episode last night, enjoyed it. I'd given it a wide berth as I can't abide Cillian Murphy but he's actually watchable in it.

Saw the first two episodes, enjoyed it. Will start watching again at some point. Cilliam Murphy is a good actor. A bit scary in Disco Pigs though...

Just finished watching it last night. Hadn't picked that at all, but then I usually try to avoid discussions about series I haven't finished watching. Liked it a lot.

 Re: The TV Thread.
Seeing as everyone in the world seems to have seen it, I thought I'd finally give Sherlock a go. Watched the first two series over the last few nights and have to admit it's rather good. That said, there hasn't been a twist I haven't worked out at least 5-10mins before it was revealed. Sussed the Hounds of Baskerville episode about half an hour in. Still massively enjoying it though.
