First one is definitely not on par with 2-5. It picks up after that one.

I'll give the second one a try, in that case. Cheers.

The second TPB was a definite step up, it's setting up a different arc/storyline. Held my interest more, anyway.

Lost interest and gave up on 100 Bullets. Just not for me.

Currently reading:

Saga - Space opera, only with sex and swearing. A couple from either side of an interplanetary war have a kid and go on the run, lots of killing ensues. Pretty good. I'm up to date with this.

Powers - Cop/noir set up, in a world where superheroes are a normal part of life. Set in the department that polices them. OK, I'm not into the art, though. The TV show is loosely based on this. I've only read the first TPB so far.

God Is Dead - Mythological gods reappear and go to war for the worship of mankind. Decent. I'm 8 or 9 issues into this.

Got the first Transmetropolitan, the third Swamp Thing and the most recent (third) Janni Nemo League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which, if its anything like the first two, will be average to shit.

I'm on a Mark Millar buzz at the moment, though I've only read a few bits and bobs: Wanted, Kick-Ass/Hit Girl (just the first two Kick-Ass series, I have yet to read the third), Nemesis, The Secret Service and I've just read Huck. I'm currently acquiring Superman: Red Son, any other recommendations?

Have you read all of The Crossed, Sol? Alan Moore did a run recently, I think.

I gave up on it a while back, as it had become very repetitive, but a mate actually mentioned Moore's run the other day, so I might pick it up again.

I'd like to read his run but I'm guessing that you probably need to read at least some of the early ones first? Where's the point that you would recommend reading up to?

It's been a while since I read them but read Garth Ennis' run anyway, I believe that was the first storyline. I'll check up on it later but the first few story arcs were decent enough.

Edit: Family values and Psychopath were decent but after that it's hit & miss.
