I've got them on DVD. Worth the upgrade?

This reminds me, I need to buy Blood & Chrome.

Don't know yet tbh. Won it on Ebay so I'll have to wait and see. Reviews do seem very favourable though (one of the reasons I decided to get it).

My third copy of this film, along with the Collector's Edition on DVD and the DVD edition of this release. Of course, it was only after buying this one that I remembered that this year is the 40th anniversary and there'll inevitably be a new release.

I wasn't overly impressed either but wanted to give it a second look to be sure. It was only €2 in CEX so fuck it.

Worth it for Hopkins hamming it to all fuck, even by his standards.

I bought a few birthday presents for myself:

^^The new Celtic Frost reissues look amazing. They haven't been brickwalled either, although the best sounding cd's are the original ones.

Happy Birthday, Stat.
you should get n Facebook so people can take the piss in many insultingly humorous ways on your special day.

The new CF's are great, but it's a shame that TGW made such a fuss about the liner notes. We all know how pissed off he was with Noise (as are many of the artists) but surely he didn't expect them to print his rants.

Thanks mate.

The new CF reissues are almost making me wish I didn't pick up the 1990 cd of Vanity/Nemesis earlier this year.

Should get that tomorrow along with Slayer's hardback Repentless graphic novel which I have to put aside for Xmas.

Wife's anniversary present bought (new Martina Cole novel) plus I've bought loads more kids stuff for Christmas. The two youngest have all their main presents sorted and it's only September.

Film or series? I've seen the film, it was OK. I've heard nothing but good things about the series, though.

Wasn't a fan of that, TBH.

The recent Korean film.

And I quite like mixed up. I know all the songs so well and hear them so often in the context of the album that a normal best of is a bit pointless. I like the idea of having those songs all in one place, but also having something different about them that makes it worth listening to. In fact I'd go as far as to say some songs I prefer the mixed up versions.

Ah right. Curious about that one myself.

I dunno. I've only listened to it a handful of times and it didn't really hold my interest, though I acknowledge the appeal of 'best ofs' that come at it from a different angle. The Stone Roses' The Remixes was worth a listen.
