Did you get that from Earache? The red ink on mine faded to fuck within weeks. I hope they've rectified that.

Only just saw this, sorry. Yep, Earache. Worn once, washed once, came through OK for me.

Hadn't intended to buy Total Recall. Took it off the shelf to check which version it was, forgot to put it back, it seems. At least it was only €3, might give it another chance.

There's a nice boxset of all of their Herzog soundtracks floating about, one I wouldn't mind picking up.

Amazingly we're in April and this will be the first 2017 album I listen to. I'm falling so out of touch with music.

Yeah I've seen it but my budget doesn't allow for it as I've spent so much on ebay recently...

For some reason I have no interest in American Honey, despite liking Fish Tank. I didn't think F.T was anything too special though.

I never got round to Fish Tank. I just know American Honey was really well recieved and seemed my sort of thing from what I read. A sort of Almost Famous esque coming of age/road movie.

The only thing that bothers me is the run time at 2 hours 45 mins. It's seems excessive for that kind of film. But I do know people who saw it who were completely immersed and that it flew by, so who knows.

I was going to mention that the run time is also a turn off. I don't like really long films anymore, probably because I watch too many films and features on discs so time is the of the essence. I also feel that most long films have trouble justifying their length.

2hrs and 45 mins for 'realist' cinema sounds boring to me. I don't care how well it is made, because to me there is an obvious ceiling on how good those films can be nowadays. It has all been done before. That's the problem with 'realism', there is a natural limit. That's why I value imagination more nowadays. I much prefer film makers who create their own worlds, not ones that try to capture the world 'as it is', if that's even possible (it isn't, that's partially why it's futile and ultimately a waste of time in my eyes)
