Got a couple of late birthday presents yesterday from my mum and sister

Also got a book called 'Lion's Pride: The Turbulent History of New Japan Pro Wrestling' but the cover is boring and I couldn't find a decent quality/sized image of it.

I just watched those plus the entire Night Stalker series a couple of weeks ago. Full review to follow in October.

What's the new Prodigy like? The last few were quite underwhelming.

Then you probably won't like it.

^^It's good as long as you keep your expectations in check. It's really short too (just under 32 minutes), which stops it from becoming draggy, but it also feels strangely incomplete as a result too.

Overall I'm quite pleased with it. It's a mix of old and new Pumpkins. Songs like Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts) hark back to the mid 90's hits like 1979, only without the killer choruses.

Like AIC, they will probably never deliver another honest-to-god brilliant tune, but that's okay if you dig their general style.

Is it part of the Teargarden By Kaleidyscope project, or the start of something new? The Vol. 1/LP subtitle would seem to suggest the latter, but I thought there was.more to come from the TBG thing.

I believe it's something new. Wanky title too. It's complete arse!

My understanding of that new Pumpkins is that they recorded a whole bunch of songs with the intention of releasing one as a single, but Rick Rubin convinced them to release all of it. Corgan’s titles have always been a bit wank.

It sounds like it too. Just a collection of songs.
