When his band played up here he ate an entire (quite upmarket) hotel out of room service.

Zero fucks given.

Hard To Kill is the only Seagull film I paid to see. Bit late to ask for a refund, I s'pose...

That's one of my favourite bits. His delivery is perfect.

Sounds better in my head with a Ranier Wolfcastle delivery.

After my film haul yesterday, watched Commando, which is brilliantly shit. Now watching Running Man, which is not quite as shit, but equally brilliant. Shame they didn't have Total Recall too.

Having mostly watched Arnie's more recent films lately, his acting has at least got a bit better. End of Days I watched again few days ago, and whilst being pretty naff, is fairly entertaining. Lock Up is probably best he's done in a while.

Commando is absolute gold from start to finish.

One of the greatest openings to a film ever.

I'm not knocking it, I love the film, but it is a bit silly at times, like when everyone's shooting at him and he dodges every bullet whilst taking them all out.

Actually, I watched MIA 2 again last week. Norris is fucking brilliant. Once I've got all the classic Arnie and Sly films I'm moving onto his filmography next.

It's complete nonsense from start to finish but that's the genius of Commando.
Bad guys always seem to be really shit with a gun.
Also in like in every other action film, the hero always takes a bullet to the leg, arm or shoulder, that to any normal human being would have them rolling about in agony, but to the likes of Arnie it's treated like he's just banged his elbow on a door.

I'm close to completing my Norris filmography (late 70s - early 90s). Still need to get MIA 2 and 3, Delta Force 2, Firewalker and Eye for An Eye.

Considering they're hired soldiers, you'd think bad guys would be better shots!

Arnie is funny when he gets injured. Bit of a bruise, then walks off like nothing happened.

I'm still working through Arnie and Sly, but I'm getting increasingly into Norris the more films I download. My ex has most of Lundgren's films, and some of those are utterly brilliant.

When I first met her I had no idea what to get her for xmas, walked into HMV and there was Lundgren in Killing Machine. Dolph is a Killing Machine, how could that go wrong?!? She loved it, so easy to buy for.

Speaking of which, I just got her a Dirty Harry boxset as I'm convinced she'll dig them.

I still laugh until I can't breathe at the scene with the deer. Although later, when he straps all the weapons and gear on I still think "that is so fucking cool". I had a sleeveless Commando t shirt when I was a kid, I wore it until it rotted away.

"What happened to Buzz Saw?"

"He had to split"

Classic.

- "The Running Man"...last season's winners...
- No. Last season's losers.

Funny how the cameras are supposed to be following them all the time they're in the Game Zone yet miss that scene for the audience entirely.

The Deer, the ice cream, the swimming, the karate lessons, the fishing, the lifting a massive fucking tree, the fact that Jenny is extremely stingy when pouring him a glass of juice.
Fuckin beautiful.

A sleeveless Commando t shirt, that must have been something special.

Especially when matched with my flat top/mullet combo and brown framed spectacles.
