I thought Brosnan was a decent enough Bond but his films got worse as they went on. Especially the last one he did.
I'm not a fan of him as an actor generally, but Goldeneye was one of the better films in the series. I do like some films he has been in, The Long Good Friday obviously, and Taffin, although he was woefully miscast in it. Still enjoyable, but I can imagine Brendan Gleeson nailing that role.
I went for Connery and Dalton.
As I said, I wish Dalton had stayed on for a few more films. I like that he played him with a cold, ruthless streak. More like an assassin than a spy as such.

It was quite silly, but Gray was the perfect Blofeld for a film like that, which made all the difference, as did the henchmen (Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd) and supporting cast (Bruce Cabot, Norman Burton, Joseph Furst) and of course, there was superior eye candy in the form of Jill St John and Lana Wood. Great movie.

I hope you've remedied this by now.
Yes, I finally did so. I'd probably rank it somewhere in the middle of my list. Nonsensical plot, but Mr Wint and Mr Kidd are perhaps the most underrated henchmen in the Bond canon.
Moore's films have their issues, but I'll always give props to A View To A Kill - one of the more underrated Bond films.

Definitely. Zorin is great. The final fight on the Golden Gate Bridge was epic. Tanya Roberts was unbelievably hot even if she was bit vapid. Of Moore's run I'd rate it over Octopussy, For Your Eyes Only and maybe even Moonraker.

Craig sucks. The worst Bond. Least appealing footplayer in a suit looking cunt.
He's pretty bad alright. I didn't like the style change they made with him either. All well made films but way too po-faced, violent and not enough style and cool. Skyfall was the only one of his worth rewatching in my opinion.
Bronson's run was pretty bad as well of course. Even Goldeneye was kind of dull. Sadly the most memorable one was probably Die Another Day purely because of how ridiculous it was. It's a toss up who's the weaker of the two for me.

I think people changed their mind about Brosnan because his films weren't good. He was seen as a great Bond initially. He had the right look and demeanor.

I enjoyed Goldeneye (preferred the game) but the others were shite.
The change in tone for Craig finally suited the times, even Moore's run was ridiculously out of date at the time. The decline in his run is a direct result of the camping it up again, coupled with lazy reinvention of old characters (Q, Moneypenny, etc.).
Incidentally, I'd have paid cash money to see a Bond film with Bronson in it, Rob.

He never rang true for me. He's from Navan ffs! There was nothing natural about his performances. He always seemedto be pouting. Something which Craig does a lot as well for some reason.

That's what I was thinking
Tomorrow Never Dies was OK but it felt more like a generic action film than a Bond film from memory. The World Is Not Enough was 2 fists and Die Another Die is one of the very worst Bond films, if not the worst.
Goldeneye seemed just right for the mid 90s, and Craig is right for the times: drab and self serious.
Re: Stop getting Bond wrong!! (The all purpose 007 thread)
Goldeneye is an absolute classic Bond film. In my top 3, easily. Trevalyan may be my favourite Bond villain - the personal betrayal angle gives the movie extra edge.
As mentioned, it was a perfect film for the time it was released.
It went downhill fast after that, though. The next two films lack weight, and Die Another Day is the worst Bond film ever, hands down. Casino Royale was much needed.
