Post Metal moments (Mk: II)
4.23 --> in "The black hundred" on the new Primordial. A Wom Warrior-esque "Ugh!" followed by some epicness, then "I waaaaaaaaaant toooooooooburrrrrrrn...give me the funeral pyre!!!"

The "end it now, it's the only way" bits in "Pull the plug" by Death.

Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hell

And the solo.

The 2nd time the chorus plays during SYL's Skeksis.

The 2nd half of the 4th song on Bal Sagoth's Cthonic Chronicals.

Today Is The Day's Temple Of The Morning Star (electric version)

The dual guitars during Metallica's Fight Fire with Fire/Kirk's solo during Fade To Black.

The whole of The Berzerker's song Compromise.

Portishead's Machine Gun.

If we're talking Venom then surely it must be:

Quote:
Lay down your soul to the gods rock `n' roll
Metal ten fold through the deadly black hole
Riding hells stallions bareback and free
Taking our chances with raw energy

"Oh no, no, no, please God help me" that leads into Iommi's genre defining riff.

The opening 29 seconds of RAZOR's "The Marshall Arts". Nothing more METAL than that.

I think you just did that yourself, Homolee.

Slightly hypocritical thread, seeing as Rob has spent the last month sulking that "we've done this before", but it's worth doing again. Was has already taken "this one's for the unborn!", the cunt, and off the top of my head I can only think of:

The way the riff bursts out of "we shall arise!" like a big robot scythe on Arise.
Ihsahn's "Woop. Woop. WAARRGGHHHH!" triple-scream at the beginning of Cosmis Keys To My Creation And Times.
"Duhduh dun dun dun duhduhduhduh Lord of light! I will swarm against you now!" from Day of Suffering.
"Ooooh, Achilles! Let thy arrows fly!"
The way the riff of Corporeal Jigsore Quandary slides out of that drum-intro like a pair of black wings blocking out the sun. FUCK YOU GREEN MACHINE, IT DOESN'T SOUND "BEDROOM"!

Probably more later as I think of them.

Which reminds me of:

"I am Count Cronos, vampire supreme... whhooaaah! Bloodlust!" That always has me grinning like a cunt.

Wrong!

I wanted to add that Primordial bit I mentioned above to the pre-existing thread. So I searched for it. Then checked there wasn't another similar one. When I couldn;t find it, I then started a new one (clearly labelled as the second version so everyone knows not to post their same shit again.) That's how it's done, folks. 8-) Glad to be of service. *smug*

I don't know if you're being whacky on purpose, but I fucking love that keyboard intro.

I don't do whacky.I loved The Final Countdown when it first came out but unfortunately so did my father. This means he played it constantly on cassette single in his car for about two years. This kind of killed it.
