Mule Variations is his most successful album I believe, and it is the one that brought him a whole new generation of fans. It put him back on the map.

You could be right So, but Mule Variations sold more worldwide apparently, and it achieved higher chart positions in an era when that actually meant something.

Zeal and Ardor from New York. Blues/soul with black metal.

Not totally convinced, the black metal bits sound a bit tacked on to me. Can see this getting a lot of attention though.

Aevangelist. After reading the review of the split with BAN I checked them out and I like the album. I am looking for other bands similar to them or Howls Of Ebb.

So this is what metal's come to. :( :( Doubtless this kind of bullshit'll be getting a 9.5 "genre-pushing, tectonic plate shifting" Tez review.

GoSt. Really dark techno/synth wave. It's like John Digweed DJing in hell. Or something. Good stuff

Coma Cluster Void. Death metal collective with Mike DiSalvo. Ulcerate style with lots of Meshuggah influence.

2016 has been ok enough for metal releases:

WAND

Psychedelic stoner rock. But not in the Kyuss style. Good stuff.
