I couldn't find if we had a thread for this already on here but feel free to lock it if we do xRedx.

Anyway latest discovery of mine is LORDS!. Angry hardcore with a little slab of metal, their imagery is pretty "satanic" so I assume their lyrics are too, but they only have one song up atm. It's pretty great eitherway.

Still Hesper Payne for me. It's hugely refreshing to find a band doing that kind of thing that give the impression that they realise it's a bit silly, and are having fun.

Frightmare, Fondlecorpse and Bloodfreak.

...all courtesy of Dead Kitten. I've listened to each today and on first listen they please me a lot.

Fondlecorpse!! HAHAHAHAHA!

Mine is Faiz Ali Faiz, a qawaali singer who I'd heard of before, but never heard his music. He is insanely energetic. Ketusmondai, and any other Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan fans, are highly recommended to give him a listen.

A pomp/AOR band called Spys who released two albums in the early 80's.

There was a Fondlecorpse CD in my local second-hand shop in Plymouth for ages for £2. I was always tempted to buy it but never did for fear of the look the permasurly man behind the counter would give me.

My latest discovery is Noisia, whose album Split the Atom is a mix of drum and bass, dubstep, techno and (according to their last.fm) something called neurofunk which I've never heard of. It's very good.

Nice one on the Noisia, Steve. They're great electronic artist(s). Check out their remix/production of Foreign Beggars "Contact" if you havn't seen me post it already.

Marissa Nadler - credit to Fhil for making me realise she's an artist in her own right and not Xasthur's other half as I originally assumed. Really liking what I hear

I've been checking out Kepone, formed by Michael Bishop when he was fed up with being Beefcake The Mighty in GWAR (I think I've got that right). I seem to remember Kerrang! putting these guys down as perhaps the next big thing. No way. A warped, angular fusion of Nomeansno, Killdozer and Tad does not become the next big thing, and they just kind of faded away.

Another addition to the long list of noise rockers that interest only me: I swear I'm becoming the Chantler of this genre, only without the vinyl.
