That sounds like a euphemism for the liquid aftermath of too much surprise anal from the bigger boys.

One day, think it was a Tuesday back in July I thought about Janes Addiction Ritual De Lo Habitual. I thought "that was a fucking great album". And "how can Perry Farrell not be a bumder? and how much of a cunt is Dave Navarro"

Did you also think "how fucking boring was that new album?".

I only heard a few songs from their reunion stuff and never bothered to buy it or listen to any of it any further.

Sounded soulless boring shite. They should have left it as it was in 91. Plus Perry Farrell looks like some gay old Screech from Saved By The Bell these days.

'Ritual' is 5/5. Farrell probably bums everything and everyone indiscriminately, in the name of cosmic love.

The post reunion albums are perfectly listenable and kind of groovy but not great (see also Helmet and too many other '90s groups who can't let it lie).

I really liked Strays a lot when it came out, without having any idea what they were like before then. It's not crazy psychedelic most-dangerous-band-in-the-world stuff but it's fun polished-ish commercial-ish rock'n'roll. When I first heard Ritual it bowled me over, I really couldn't understand what I was hearing (three ten minute songs right after each other seemed like the craziest thing ever to me then).

This year I thought a lot about the excruciatingly rare 1974 LP by the Steptoe & Son actor Harry H Corbett featuring cult Cornish gothic folk act FARAWAY FOLK. I wonder if it will ever turn up anywhere, and what it might be like.

I'll keep my eye out for it, sounds like it has potential.

Cheers WATP! Finding the sleeve is a new development, did a search earlier this year and it wasn't out there then!

I thought about Cave In's Antenna quite a bit. I hadn't listened to it in about a decade until this year but I went from thinking it was alright back then to wanting to hear it loads now. It's awesome. Cave In are too.

I didn't think about any albums in 2012 I was too busy compiling my list of albums I won't have listened to come 2013.

By God man, that's ace work! Never thought to check MySpace, literally forgot it ever existed. Dig this track hugely, lovely gently sprightly nudist pagan vibe, just the sort of intimate ancient sound I'd imagined. Cor, hope the album turns up soon!

No, nudity is too "perverse". He's a perverted Ignatius.
