That sounds like a granny themed DM band.

The title is fine, it's just that we all have no shame, seeing as we discuss our personal lives on here, the shit music we listen to isn't that bad!

I dunno know about that. I've mentioned plenty of bands that other people think are shit and they shit every time I do.

Yes.

Most, if not all, white power bands are careful to avoid the really obvious incitement to racial hatred. Vaginal Jesus was basically so OTT you knew it was a pisstake.

Except some people take them a bit too seriously.

What about Arghoslent? Fucking brilliant band with highly questionable lyrics...

i am at work so can't link to youtube, but check out coon hunting by vaginal jesus, so fucking over the top.

Any band i think of with the really strong lyrics tend to be bands who propogate the nazi image without being actual nazis.

I've found myself quite enjoying Burzum's first prison released synth album "Dauði Baldrs" from 1997 this week despite the needlessly extended track lengths & incredibly cheap sounding MIDI/synth sounds.

The synth stuff on Filosofem was about as far as I got but I never clicked with the prison stuff. Might have to give it a try.

I think it is good background music, or chill out music that lets the mind wander. I don't play it often but it has it's place most definitely.

"Hliðskjálf" was a definite step up from "Dauði Baldrs". I really enjoy it these days to be honest.

I suppose these are what some here may deem "guilty pleasures", but as a few have already said, I don't believe in such things:

Drive by Truckers
Bruce Springsteen
Some Bon Jovi songs e.g. Blood on Blood, Dry County, Let it Rock etc
The Eagles
Toto
Don Henley: Boys of Summer
80s rock pop, such as John Farnham, John Parr etc
Amy MacDonald

There's certainly no shame in appreciating Bruce Springsteen's music. Drive-By Truckers too.

Slippery When Wet and New Jersey are quality rock albums, no guilt attached to liking them for me. That said, I haven't liked any other Bon Jovi material I've heard.
