Screams Of Anguish is all I've heard by them, I thought it was OK but unspectacular. That's not bad.

Fucking appalling lyrics, though. I wouldn't have them up for the world to see...

Re: All Purpose DEATH METAL Thread
The guitar tone is good, but the riffs are a bit of a snooze. A small number of decent moments, but it's very average DM.

^ This, especially.

I quite liked that. I can't say Brutality are a band I have ever heard of though.

Re: All Purpose DEATH METAL Thread
The thing that always set them apart for me was the guitar work. Every album features some the best DM soloing ever, especially "Screams of Anguish". Funny, but I didn't pay any attention to the lyrics whatsoever. Just like their sound.

Obituary's next, self-titled album is out on the 17th of March. I can't say I'm all that bothered anymore.
Venenum's full length album is finally happening! Turns out it will be released on March 17.

Yes. Obituary haven't really done anything worth talking about since the 90s. Frozen In Time was decent, but it lacked staying power.
I find myself checking their new material out from time to time, but Frozen In Time was the last one I actually purchased.

Apparently Massacre - including Kam Lee and Rick Rozz - are back writing/rehearsing new material. Under the name Massacre X, for some unknown reason...

Yet you keep buying six Feet Under albums...

SFU at worst are at least good for a laugh. When Obituary aren't firing on all cylinders they are just dull.
The new album is very good though.

Yes, I'm pleased to say that my pessimism and lack of interest in the new one were misplaced. It's their best album since The End Complete.

Which is what i told you guys a few weeks ago! I wasn't expecting anything either, I had pretty much written them off. It is so much better than Inked In Blood. It's a 4 fister.

Another death metal 'supergroup', sounds good though.

The first five albums were decent death metal, and Barnes' voice wasn't entirely shot. Unlike now...
