'European Super State' and 'The Great Cull' are good, but the rest of that album left me pretty cold.

Having listened to their whole discography now, the Killing Joke songs I like are:

'Love Like Blood'
'Eighties'
'The Great Cull'
'European Super State'

The rest were underwhelming.

So you listened to the entire discography of a band with a lengthy back catalogue only to discover that you only like four songs? You are a special breed Shal.

'Revelations' ('83) and 'Night Time' ('85). The former is their just-prior-to-Jaz's-nervous-breakdown one, the latter is their first and probably best foray into melodic goth-rock.

Laugh? I Nearly Bought One![/pedant]

Fantastic compilation. My introduction to the band and a perfect one at that. Wilful Days was pretty crap IMO.

I've never checked them out, except for one song "In Cythera" from their new album. I liked the song.
