My favourite of theirs, by a considerable margin.

I was obsessed with it back then. I got on board them with Broken (I'd heard Head Like A Hole, obviously but didn't hear PHM until after that) and the step up in intensity and... power, I suppose was very welcome. "Side two" was where it was at for me, A Warm Place especially.

I'm not a fan of post-The Fragile NIN in general, With Teeth is the last one I bought. A few tracks scattered across those releases might hold my attention but there's nothing essential there. His soundtracks are awful.

Their last album was a lot better than With Teeth. i'm not crazy about his soundtrack work either.

As for THe Young Gods, I don't rate their pre-Only Heaven albums too highly, although I respect their influence. The productions aren't great and the playing is awkward.

Really? I thought Only Heaven was a huge step down in terms of quality, and I've found the vast majority of their post-T.V. Sky material quite bland. To be fair, L'Eau Rouge is the only ealrier one I'm bothered about, I'm not a huge fan - I'd give T.V. Sky 5/5 and enjoy the acoustic album but those three aside, I'm not pushed.

Only Heaven sounds more fluid to my ears. Their early albums sound like a bunch of pretentious punks who could barely play their instruments.

I really liked Super Ready/Fragmente as well, but it is kind of divisive. Their last album was good but kind of forgettable. It's also 6 years old. I wonder if they will ever release another one.

This is really, really good. Much, much better than I thought it could be.

4 fists. It isn't on the level of Low End Theory and M.M but it makes up for The Love Movement
