Have you heard the rest of the album? Brian Eno produced and they turned quite interesting for a bit. Then they apparently decided they'd rather go back to being boring.

DLed it on the strength of that track, there are some pleasant melodies on a few tracks but it did nothing for me.

Fuck Coldplay, they have no redeeming qualities. None. Simpering, pointless, one dimensional horseshit. They are basically muzak.

Frankly, even Take That have more credibility as middle of the road entertainers.

As for Eno, when was the last time he did anything of real consequence artistically? His involvement in an album has long ceased to be an indicator of genuine musical quality.

Went to see Dimmu only for this song and Lacuna Coil. This song is epic though:

Did you ever listen to Mylo Xyloto? I thought their back catalogue was utter arse, but I really took to that album.

Thought I'd give the album a try to see just how shit the vocals are. They're a little bit off, yeah. Not a fan.

Chains is great but I am a fan of DS so like most of their stuff. Bulldozer, that was the first one I heard on Speed Kills so its still my fave and their best (recently heard Ilona the very best on Obscene Extreme comp). Gonna check out the middle one.

Yeah, that Speed Kills comp was fantastic... but that song kills everything else I've heard by them though, regardless of whether it was the first track...

One of the vid's didn't load, fixed it now.

Wonder what blacklorre's gonna make of Versa Emerge?

I like that! Do you like Dead Souls Rising? This is my favorite of theirs, the only one I really like:

That's my favorite HT song along with Distant Calling. Explain how you don't like Debt of Pain or aforementioned Distant Calling. Does not compute.

As for the original topic, I will not bother with bands outside metal (I love a ton of single pop tunes, what's the point?) so I will stick to metal. After a long time I reached the conclusion that the only song worth listening to again and again from this band is this one. And nothing else:
