picked up the new Danzig today. The back cover is probably worse than the front. it's a laughable pic of Glenn with fire coming out of his face

He looks like a goth Buzz Lightyear

Yes, along with three other drummers (Castillo, Karl Rockfist and Dirk Verbeuren)

Looking forward to hearing it, the first one took a while to 'click' but it's excellent, hopefully the follow-up will be of similar quality.

Nice! I'm surprised - but glad - that it wasn't a one-off, these things usually are.

Meh.

Can't say anything they have done in the last 10 or 12 years has done anything for me. And Jourgensen strikes me as a complete fucking tool to be honest.

It's a cunning bit of wordplay on his actual name, Karl Rosqvist.

It's also pretty shite.

Ministry's last decent album was Rio Grande Blood, pretty shite after that. No interest in this one, and that post-Ministry band he had were laughable.

They have never been a particularly consistent, even in their prime.

Personally I'd say more like 25 years although I did like that "SphincTour" live album going back around 15.

This is blasphemy to some, but many of the bands they inspired wrote better songs. e.g White Zombie, Rammstein etc.

Yeah that sounds a lot like blasphemy to me Stat. Rammstein's "Mutter" was a great record but it wasn't in the same class as "Psalm 69" or "The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste" & I didn't think much of the rest of their back catalogue. White Zombie had a couple of interesting album in the early 90's but certainly nothing essential.
