New Yob track:

It took me a few minutes to get into the song, but I like it. Hopefully the album will be good.

New Ghost track is sexy as fuck.
Early '80s Ozzy all over it.

Also heard the new ones by Aura Noir, Ihsahn, and another new one I'm not allowed to mention yet, but rhymes with Wimmu Worgir.

Not expecting much. Shit cover.

No Abbath and a guitarist that can't play live puts serious question marks about their actual viability.

We'll see.

I don't mind that cover, tbh.

So according to this new interview with David DeFeis there will be a boxed set out in some months ahead (August-September he says) featuring Hymns to Victory, The Book of Burning and two new discs in there; one will feature mostly live orchestral versions of ''classic'' VS tracks, which could be cool considering I liked the live bonus disc of the Invictus reissue. The second disc will feature new material that should be a mix of bluesy/gothic-y/epic VS stuff.

I'll put it simple: if DeFeis will sound tolerable, this material could be rather good. The second disc of Nocturnes of Hellfire & damnation was better than the actual regular disc, after all. Of course here's hoping Pursino will be more involved again, but even if he won't, these new songs could still be decent, assuming the new material won't be very metallic to begin with.

Third new At The Gates track is actually pretty...decent! More moody blackened sounding than by-the-books melodic death metal-ish.

Looks like church singing hasn't been paying the bills for Roy.
Hoping they tour over here. I'd love to see them play Roll the Fire.

It just makes me wonder how Khan will approach these new songs/older material if they'd play live vocally - didn't he end up damaging his voice during his last years in Kamelot or something?

Decent. A cross between the sounds of the s/t album and Black Gives Way To Blue. Cautiously optimistic about the album now.

Yeah, it has more punch than the singles from the last record.

I hope they deliver this time.

The Dinosaurs album wasn't bad by any stretch, but it felt like a real step down after Blue.
