It's alright. I might give the latest album a serious spin again, but from what I remember it seemed a bit...by-the-numbers for the band? I did like the more ''tuneful'' clean vocals at least.

And off course Eleine's 'Dancing In Hell' & Angelica's 'All I Am'!

Stuff that I look forward to still:
New Celestial Season
Might be good but not expecting much of it:
New Fates Warning (the latest Arch/Matheos is as good as Matheos will write of I reckon). New Helstar (last one wasn't bad but lacked something).

There are some new ideas in there. More vocal layers and some influence from post rock. It's too overproduced though.

The Katatonia 'Dead Air' DVD if only to hear the new songs in context with the old songs. I went off them after Viva Emptiness for some reason. (Anathema similar story)

On a related theme, I've had Teargas stuck in my head for about a week.

Better stuck in your head than sprayed in your eyes!
This is catchier than it should be. Ray Alder sounds in his element here and I dig the low-key mood of the track.

New The Ruins of Beverast could be interesting, but this new song sounds surprisingly restraint; clean baritone vocals are highly present and the track lacks some serious fury. Not really sure what to think of it, honesty.
