Their last album is arguably their best release with Derrick, so I'm definitely interested to hear M.M.

Starkweather will be releasing something next year. It has the track "Divided By Zero" on it.

And Chic release new album next year:

Really? Excellent! :) Where was this reported?

I have only heard rumours and rumblings on music message boards.

New Paradise Lost and Venenum albums should be solid.

Apparently Morbid Angel is working on an album as well I believe...just not sure what to expect of it.

Virgin Steele have a new album planned for 2017. To me their last decent album came out in 2000. Basically each follow up album sounded worse than the previous one although the latest ones had some decent bonus tracks (minus the vocals) at least. Here's hoping they'll come back with something strong but I'm very, very skeptical.

Morbid Angel is Trey and Steve Tucker, should be decent.

I decided to allow it. It's timely and the usual Forthcoming thread wouldn't garner this much conversation.

Let's hope so. If Sandoval was in there too I'd be fully optimistic.

Yes. The other thread is more general, this is a little more specific.

As for Morbid Angel, who knows. I hope King Diamond finally releases a new album out this year. I have higher expectations for that than Morbid Angel, but naturally I find myself rooting for M.A and would love to see them make a real comeback.

If we're on our best behavior in 2017 then perhaps the metal god's just might reward us with a Morbid Angel record that'll prove to be a little more than a pleasant surprise.

Yes - unlikely to set the world on fire by the sounds of it.

It's ok, but would much rather have a new Candlemass or Krux album.

I doubt they even have another Gateways let alone Formulas, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Failure is not an option for them at this point. The next album has to be really good otherwise they are screwed.
