It's shit with a couple of interesting bits. But mostly shit. Sorry.

Doubt it. The worst review I've seen so far is a 6/10.

I might pick it up today

Iceberg Dance thinks it's being innovative and clever but it really isn't, and Sworn Oath sounds like Pantera fighting Machine Head on a bad acid trip.

Angry, but ultimately tiresome and repetitive nonsense.
4 or possibly a 5/10 at most.

Didn't blow my head off, but yeah, I thought it was pretty decent. Better than the new one for sure.

It was shit, so this confirms that the new one never needs to be heard.

Against is the only one since then that was even half decent, and that was a 2/5, 2.5/5 album at best.

I'm guessing Overkill then. Blink once for no, twice for yes and thrice and a bit for Tuesday.

Overkill have been on fire the last few years. Haven't actually bought an album in ages. Lots of gaps to plug, there.

Heard a third album from my original list now.
And it's just lovely.

I like the record, and imagine they'd be worth seeing too. You can hear the influences but it still feels its own thing. Nicely put together.

Will give it a listen, just looked them up and they are mates of mates. Will try and catch a show.

Enjoyed Sepultura, Au Champ des Morts, Lorn and the Great Old Ones but my favourite for January is:
Scáth na Déithe - Pledge Nothing but Flesh

My album of the month is this one: The Ominous Circle's Appalling Ascension. Amazing Death Metal!

I have a weak spot for Xandria! Those 4 albums with LM are great but I never got into those after that when they became more like another Lite-wish. I'll give them another go tho.

This one is still definitely Litewish, but it's probably the best of those albums.
