I think Greg can still write some good ol' heavy-as-*%*%&* death metal riffs, but I'm not too excited about the execution of that band (or Vallenfyre for that matter). I'm more excited about the upcoming record of his main band at this point.

They are often vehicles to dump leftover riffs and ideas from main bands/projects. It tends to work best when the projects themselves have little in common musically. e.g Katatonia and Diabolical Masquerade. In situations like that, musicians are forced to get out of their comfort zone a little and spread their wrings. N.P TOOL Fear Inoculum. _________________

The 'speed metal Mercyful Fate' bits are pretty cool but on the whole it's a bit of an effort. It sounds to me like they can't decide what sort of band they want to be. _________________
