Nitro are incredible in an OMG kind of way. All excess and no restraint. And the look!
Their second album, Hot Wet Drippin' With Sweat [genuine title] is a little more nuanced in its songwriting - but listen to it and remember that it came out in 1991, when Nevermind was released....

A great photo of Mayhem live with Per Ohlin (Dead). Image depicts Dead on the left with a fan from the audience taking a bite out of the pig's head on stage.

Re: Strongbow Steve's Random Music Thread
I didn't even know they had a new album out. I can't say I'm bothered TBH, like most things Jourgensen-related from the past few years, this is rubbish.
He really sounds clueless nowadays. The Bush bash period had its moments, but overall he has been running close to empty for at least 20 years.
My view of Ministry is that they really should have been a short lived band. After Psalm 69 or Filth Pig he really should have pulled the plug. It isn't the kind of style that can be repeated over and over, and he certainly doesn't have the musical talent to keep it interesting over time. He is a bit of a one trick pony.
Some bands are just not meant to have long careers I think. That's why it annoyed me when The Stooges came back with a mediocre piece of piffle, or even when The Pixies reformed. These bands should have never got back together. They were era/genre bands in their time and then they disappeared at just the right time.

Re: Strongbow Steve's Random Music Thread
Houses Of The Mole was the last decent album he's released (and the best since Psalm 69 IMO), Rio Grande Blood had its moments but was poor overall, as was The Last Sucker. Nothing since has been worth bothering with at all, he's just embarrassing himself these days.
That was album number eight. How do you fucking surprise people? How do you blow people away? I'm older. I'm the 24-year-old fucking thug running around the streets that I was on [1994's] 'Burn My Eyes'. I can't go there again, and I'm never gonna go there again, so I have to go someplace else. In some ways, it's, like, I just feel lost half the time. [Laughs] Like, where the fuck am I going?
So he makes an album that sounds like it was recorded by a bunch of 30 something burn outs?
Lost is about right!

Not that I have much interest in buying that album, but the postage (from Germany to countries within) the EU is €14! Nuclear Blast can and must eternally fuck off.
Machine Head certainly sounds lost. Sounds like something that I imagine Bullet For My Valentine sounds like.
Even just this image: ...

It's €4 to send a cd to here from Germany unregistered, €6.20 registered.

From Amazon, I think? That's where the UK link brought me.
