Quite positively, we got average marks which I'm quite happy with for the type of music we play. it's hardly ground breaking or anything.

Also we are playing the legendary rock bar Trillians in Newcastle this friday. Very much looking forward to it even if I have to drive.

Excellent gig in Trillians last night. I always wanted to play there, I have seen so many bands play there myself. All the bands went down really well and we might be aranging a tour with Today The Sun Dies later this year.

Cheers Crom, they really are at the moment. We have a few weeks off now as I think Ian's girlfriend was about to leave him for spending nearly every weekend travelling about the counrty with me, but once we get to the end of May it all kicks off again.

You should do that during the gigs. That'd be a new twist on grind.

Kind of like Rock Bitch...

Ha yeah I live next door to one. Mark Thomson his name is and he works at No regrets tattoo studio in Newton Aycliffe. I suppose it depends what you mean by Durham way. Newton Aycliffe is about 12 miles outside of Durham city (although still in County Durham). The guy who has a studio in Chilton (about 10 miles outside of Duham city) is supposed to be good also although I don't know what his name is.
There are a few in Durham city but I have no idea what they are like as i don't know anyone who got anything done there.

We used to have a 3 foot inflatable cock which I would run about with and pretend to bum Ian on stage, but Spennymoor lot got their hands on it and ripped it to shreds.

You should actually just bum him. That'd keep him on his toes!

Playing a punk and grind festival in Boston, Lincs. today. Not looking forward to camping out in a field tonight either, especially given the ground frost we had here this morning. I hope we go down well at least.
Then playing a DM all dayer at Selby Riverside on Monday, hopefully that will be a good gig, not sure who else is playing though. Then Selby Riverside again next Friday for the 1st round of Metal To The Masses to win a place at Bloodstock. Ha ha can you imagine us playing Bloodstock?

Those Metal to Masses things can be quite good fun, and also good exposure to a lot of people who might not otherwise see you, so good call doing the show. I hope you have a laugh doing it.

Funeral Hag played one a few years ago. We presumed we'd lose the very first round so all got cunted before we played, and picked the most slow doom songs we had, no talking between songs just howling feedback. We fucking won too! Haha. These poor kids from the music school where you learn to be a 'musician' were devastated and had a band meeting afterwards to discuss how they'd lost to a bunch of pissed blokes basically just playing one note with feedback over and over! I think we got to the semi-finals before we were voted out.

I hope you do the same and ruin some 20 somethings' hopes!!!

Ha, brilliant. I'm sure we'll have fun, we don't expect to win at all so I think we will just be our idiot selves and see what happens. It would be funny if we beat a load of musically gifted 20 year olds though. I have no idea who we're up against. we are taking as many people as we can fit in our cars down with us for some support though.

You won't win, it's a popularity contest and it's being judged by guys in a band plus audience votes I think. One of Monty's other bands got voted out partly as his in between song banter wasn't professional enough.

However, you can annoy as many people as possible for a short while! I hope you get through a few rounds at least.

^ I don't even know what "not professional enough" means. I have seen plent of professional bands who say nothing, or just mumble the title of the next song. Madness!

Anyway we played the Metal To The Masses gig last night. It went pretty well, we made a few mistakes but nothing major, seemed to go over well. We didn't get through to the next round though but that's ok as we were only doing it for a laugh anyway and we were up against some stiff competition.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Monty is especially bad at between song banter, hence both bands asking him to stop it.

We played in Liverpool on Friday (in a pizza bar). The first gig with new songs from the up-coming new record we are doing. They seemed to go down quite well. The crowd were maybe a bit too serious for us idiots, but we met some cool people and ate some really nice pizza too.

There were people there wearing Seabastard and Let It Die shirts so the T forum bands were quite well represented that night.

Then it's Newcastle and Hereford Dowsfest next week (hopefully we'll get to play this time) and then London Unicorn next month which I'm kind of bricking it about.
