In grid 4B there are flakes from the flint working in 4a, suggesting the flint flakes spread in this manor and confirming the evidence of a right handed flint knapper. In addition is a small piece of pottery, undecorated, and so possibly inferring the Windmill Hill type ceramics of use during this phase of occupation.

THIS SOUNDS AMAZING

Sneaky preview of the forthcoming EPs. Not properly mixed and no vocals yet, but it just proves we are doing something.

Tracks 1 and 3 are my favourites.

Yeah, pretty much...

I've got as far as Hetfielding along to songs, going "woah, woah", and roughly having an idea what I'm doing.

I'm lying, I'm just going to talk about Stonehenge over them...

At this rate that'll be done before Monty and I get around to writing songs for Aurora.

I've not even installed Cubase yet, so Sab might take even longer!

What 1,2,3 & 4?

I'd still blow you off for a DVDr, whatever it says.

Anyway, I HAVE NOW BROKEN UP, so at some point in the next six weeks I'll listen to Descent all the way through.

My handwriting is terrible! It says 'Dith'. The songs will be Dithyramb pts 1 -4, and I just need to finish 2 and then they are heading towards actually being done. We started writing them when Funeral Hag was still going! I make Chinese Democracy look quick.

I managed four hours of Descent yesterday. It puts me in a really funny mood, not sure why.

Let me know how you get on doing it all in one go. I don't think that many people have actually done it in one sitting. I'm the only one in the band that has done it!

Is that a mini-album, then? Do Origin, cunts!

It'll be four EPs, the songs are all about 30 to 45 mins long (proper lengths!)

Soon as these are done I'll crack on with origin. Should really finish that soon...

Nev has new stuff written too, I can't keep up!!!

Decided to do the whole of Descent tomorrow. Will try to visit the library a few times during the day to report on how it's effecting my brain.

Just under four hours in, and have decided to pop out to town for a bit. Nicely relaxed and contemplative so far, though I've just caught myself staring at people a bit too intently.

You got up at 5 oclock to clear the whole day for Descent of Man? THAT is a dedicated fan. I haven't even sampled it yet, I feel like I need to psych myself up for it.

I listened through it three times in bits first to prepare myself. And it IS preparation - like getting ready to climb a mountain or something. Pretentious, but you're unlikely to be a Sabazius fan if you've got a problem with that.

Thirt minutes left, and I'm worried that I'll still be able to hear it when I take the headphones out.

Sounds corny, but now it's finished I feel really fucking odd. A bit like being stoned, but the silence is oddly oppressive and the living room is vibrating in a way that's hard to define. Fuck knows what playing it must feel like.
