The Deafheaven album's actually good, you just have to be able to get over the fact that it's not eevviiillll or spooky, and that they take aesthetic cues from totally non-Metal bands. Good songs, a well-structured album and a really good blend of light-and-dark.

Aye, this. Liturgy is definitely not bad either, but not something I wanted to listen to again. Deafheaven, on the other hand, will be a welcome repeat on the pod.
