Fact. Dealt.

It's a shame they stopped using Hodder, he was fucking brilliant as Jason.

I hope they do more Hatchet films, him as Victor was amazing.

Recommendations please. I've run out of horror films to watch.

Have you seen Herzog's 'Nosferatu The Vampyre' with Klaus Kinski and Bruno Ganz?

If you haven't, watch it post-haste. It is most excellent.

I have seen it, but not for a long time. Good call.

Sorry, I know that was a rather open request, it's just I'm running out of films to watch at moment. There are plenty of terrible action ones I'd like to watch, but I think I've done a lot of the general horror ones, so looking for other ideas.

Watched Poltergeist last night, can't say I was desperately bothered by it but I might watch the others. Was also going to have a go at Candyman as only seen first one, and that was years ago.

I could do with a good series to collect and get into. Fri 13th and Hatchet have been the best recent ones. I've just started collecting Final Destination as I'm running out of ideas.

Available in Spinyvision? I'm wary of 'found footage' films and this looks pretty dodgy, but I like the concept.

Adam Green is the chap who did the Hatchet films and the non-Disney Frozen.
This definitely interests me

I just want it to be better than the second one which was quite possibly the worst modern horror film I've ever seen.

I thought the first one was pretty crap (apart from a couple of scenes), didn't bother with the second,
you're the first person I've heard a good word about it from.

I didn't say they weren't crap, I said they are funny. I really enjoyed both as they are so over the top.

2 is just bizzarre, so I'm sure I'll like 3. I prefer that kind of torture horror to something like Hostel, which I thought was a pretty shit film both times I saw it.

I've never felt the need to see Hostel, that whole 'torture porn' thing does nothing for me - with the exception of the Saw films which, even though they're generally pretty crap, I only watch to see what kind of traps they come up with. Which reminds me, I really should watch the last one, I bought it when it came out on DVD and that must be 3 or 4 years ago now...

I'm not into that type of horror either really, but HC really tickled me in general. Just the concept sold me!

The first HC was a good little horror film but the sequel was a mean spirited, badly thrown together piece of trash that made A Serbian Film look like Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Nobody needs to see newborn babies being squashed under car accelerators. Especially when that scene isn't even being played for laughs.

The newborn bit was the only part I thought was shit, the rest was entertaining in a grim dark humour way... that's how I took it anyway.

I've heard Serbian Film is far worse.

Yeah, Zombie should make a re-make

Zombie should not be allowed near a camera (although Devils Rejects was fucking great!).

I've never understood this labelling of genre's, you don't watch something like Zodiac and call it "procedural porn".

It's just so lazy.

The extras on the Saw films are quite interesting just to see how they did the traps.

It is "torture porn" because that is all it offers as base level thrills, and has nothing else going for it as art or entertainment. No humour, no creativity, and nothing worthy of repeated viewing. Most of it is frankly, a load of old shit.

Eli Roth is to horror what Sevared records is to death metal and grind, a peddler of charmless, witless conveyor belt garbage, which lacks the most basic quality of creative talent and original thought.
