The first Hostel was really good IMO. A bit of dumb fun and the Slovakian brunette had a decent rack on her. Sure, it had as much depth as a puddle, but, as mentioned before, it was just a bit of dumb fun. The second one - while showing us how the business worked which was ok, I guess - suffered because the cast weren't as good. Don't get me wrong, they weren't exactly the best actors in the first one but there seemed to be at least some kind of camaderie amongst them and their general enthusiasm managed to get them through the shoddy script. The sequels actors looked like they'd not had any rehersals. Although Biojou Phillips is worth a one.
The third one is fucking pointless and should never have been made.

There's a third one? Fucking hell. Did they make a second Cabin Fever? The first one was OK, no better than that.
There are three Cabin Fevers too. The second one is abysmal but the latest one is better. They're remaking the first one now too.
Hostel 3 is a fucking omnishambles. Just a complete waste of everyone's time from beginning to end.

Yup. The third Hostel has The Elite Hunting Club upping sticks to Las Vegas and incorporating gambling into their operation - place your bets on how people die. It's fucking shit.

Going to say this again.
I think Event Horizon is a pretty nifty horror film and most others don't appeal that much.
Watched the first Hellraiser a while back. It was good without massively impressing me.

The first two Hellraiser movies were great and quite novel, seeing as most horror at the time were slashers with either a wisecracking killer (Freddy) or a silent brute (Voorhees, Myers). Pinhead was certainly an interesting character - at least before the third one when he became a wisecracking goon...

I've always liked Event Horizon too. I must watch it again, it's been a while.

I'll look for a 1080p file.
Liked Samuel L in it.

I like the first three, tolerate the fourth because it has some good ideas, but the rest are just varying degrees of nonsense.

I stopped at 8. Lance Henriksen was good but that's about it.

Only 1 and 5 do I actually think are good films. 2 is grand enough. I like all 8 to be honest as they're decent enough plods in entertainment, but 9 was just shockingly bad.
I don't mind watching a shit film if it's in a sequence of alright to get a mythology going type thing, but hell 9 was just a bad, clumsy shit version of the idea. Even 7 and 8 were better films, and they make Robocop 3 look like Ghandi.
Great tits and slow as fuck doom are Cromwell's Raison d'être.

I dunno whether you lot were aware of this but there's a recent four and a half hour long documentary on the making of Hellraiser out there. Leviathan: The Story Of Hellraiser And Hellbound: Hellraiser II. Just pressed play:
