Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Vol. VIII "The Prophecy", "Can I Play With Madness" & "Heaven Can Wait" are all solid songs for me. None are the better tracks on their respective albums but I really like all of them nonetheless. "Deja Vu" is absolutely classic. There is a case for "Quest For Fire" being the weakest 80's Maiden song in my opinion.

SIT was their first poor album and it did have some clunkers on it. Although it was its sound, the synths and the album's blandness overall that was the main problem. But I remember it really wasn't until hearing the awfulness of the CIPWM intro and the cringeworthiness of what followed afterwards that it really hit home....Maiden had lost it. "Quest for fire" was just a quirky oddity for the time. It wasn't boring (the worst of SIT) nor poofy and embarrassing (the worst of SSoaSS). np:  Dawnbringer "VI" |
