Post Terrorizer Black Mass: Mayhem & more, O2 Islington 18/12/10
Tidal Concerts by arrangement with Elastic Artists proudly presents the TERRORIZER BLACK MASS!

On Saturday 18 December 2010, an Ancient Malignant Evil comes to town: Mayhem, The Godfathers of True Norwegian Black Metal, preside over The Terrorizer Black Mass at The O2 Academy, Islington.

The Main Event will be preceded by soul-shifting sermons from Dragged Into Sunlight, Anaal Nathrakh and one other guest, to be confirmed.

The history of Norway’s Mayhem is the history of Norwegian Black Metal: there has of course been controversy, notoriety and tragedy, yet Mayhem have produced definitive albums particularly 1994’s ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’ and have a staggering live show, which is presently touring Australia.

Birmingham’s Anaal Nathrakh first ever show was Terrorizer ‘s “A Cold Night in Hell” in 2005 and have since then headlined the Terrorizer Stage at the Damnation Festival in 2007 and Maryland Deathfest in 2008.

This has been a breakthrough year for Liverpool’s enigmatic blackened sludge metallers Dragged Into Sunlight: the release of their album ‘Hatred for Mankind’, a headline Terrorizer Grindhouse show and European tour with Weedeater as well as signing to Prosthetic have made this an annus mirablis for the band. This will be their last UK show for twelve months.

Terrorizer’s Miranda Yardley said “to be hosting Mayhem, Nathrakh and D.I.S. for this monumental show is a triumph in the history of Terrorizer and a more than fitting way to celebrate our 200th issue this year.”

Tickets are priced at £20.00 (plus booking fee). Ticket information will be announced shortly.

Miranda looks like someone's wacky auntie who always has a gin bottle in her handbag for emergencies/brightening up her day.

I thought she looked like the head of the English department at a high school, though perhaps that says more about the school I went to than her..
